A pretty village on the banks of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. A great base for cycling, Talybont even has a Bike Hub with sustainable bike washing facilities and toilets and showers! Nice cafés and great pubs.

Activities
You can hire a canal boat for a short or long break on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Hire bikes from Bikes & Hikesat Talybont-on-Usk and cycle the canal or set off into the hills to go mountain biking. Guided tours are also available.
You can wander along the canal tow path – watch your head on the original, low, stone bridges! Take a stroll through the Valley (4km) on the Henry Vaughan trail.
A lovely section of the Taff Trail runs near Talybont reservoir, it links Cardiff to Brecon and is also a popular cycling route
